Spring 2025 Student Work Study - database associate
llanoThis is a Work Study position with regular work hours between 8:00-5:00 M-F
The Advancement Services office support University Advancement and our various fundraising initiatives. Our primary roles are to maintain our large donor database with audits and data hygiene processes, provide constituent lists for communications and events, provide donor reports as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Entry of biographical data into a large alumni/donor database
- Research employment, contact information, and potential donor prospecting
- Word processing, editing, and/or repetitive data entry into spreadsheets
- Includes long-term projects that may involve repetitive data entry
- Data collection from online sources and wealth screening of individuals
- Copying, scanning, filing, and compiling hard copy packets of information
- Shredding large amounts of sensitive materials
- Other administrative duties, errands or tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Computer proficient with experience in Typing/Microsoft Excel/Word (testing may be required)
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Dependable and punctual
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and exercise judgement during job duties
- Ability to follow directions, multi-task, and prioritize work
- Ability to navigate online resources and perform online research
Other Information:
- Minimum hour requirement: 10 hours/week
- Direct Supervisor - Javier Castellanos - Advancement Services
- Employee evaluation process - Students will be evaluated at the end of each long semester.
- Payrate determination - All student employees are paid $11/hour in University Advancement.
