CNA 2 - Medical Surgical Unit (Job# 332894)

CNA 2 – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30pm, 3, 12-hour shifts per week). You'll work every other weekend (Saturday, and Sunday), and at least one summer and winter holiday each year.

In this position you will:

Contribute to a high functioning team

Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights

Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests

Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices

Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course. Or equivalent educ/experience.

CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.

upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License.

upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year General hospital experience.

1 year Experience as a CNA 2.
