CNA 1 - Medical Surgical Unit (Job#332880)

CNA 1 – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Seaside Hospital. This posting represents a .9 FTE, night shift opening (6:30pm-7:00pm, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides non-professional direct patient care under the supervision and direction of an RN, utilizing the care plan.

Extra Incentives:

Night shift differential – $4.00 p/hr

$4,000 hiring bonus offered for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

In this position you will:

Contribute to a high functioning team

Meaningfully advance post-operative recovery of surgical patients.

Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights

Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests

Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices

Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Completion of certification course for Nursing Assistants

Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in nursing home or hospital experience.
