Position Overview: Freedom Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our teams in Manhattan Kansas, Eagle River Alaska, El Paso Texas and Killeen, Texas. The LCPC, LMFT or LCSW will provide high-quality mental health counseling services, helping clients work towards and achieve their mental health goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong therapeutic skills, a deep understanding of mental health issues, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Therapeutic Services: Provide counseling sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address mental health issues.
  • Client Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and develop treatment plans for clients with various mental health conditions. Document findings and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that outline goals, objectives, and interventions. Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure progress toward therapeutic goals.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.
  • Patient Education: Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Provide resources and support to help clients manage their conditions effectively.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all counseling activities comply with healthcare regulations and ethical standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and security of client information.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)  Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) in Kansas, Alaska, or Texas. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting. Experience with diverse populations and a variety of mental health conditions is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong therapeutic and assessment skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare software.
  • Personal Attributes: Empathetic, patient-focused, and able to work effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
