Employer Relations Student Assistant (ERSA) - WORK STUDY REQUIRED

Employer Relations Student Assistants (ERSAs) support the UCI Division of Career Pathways (DCP) with student and employer services. The role serves as student-ambassadors as they answer questions from employers, students, and the public. We are looking for students with strong communication skills who can interact professionally with others in person, virtually, over the phone, and by email. ERSAs must maintain confidentiality and be organized, flexible, and reliable. We are interested in students with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to work in a team environment. Please note that candidates must have current work study awards. 

 In this position, you will strengthen the following three (3) Career Readiness competencies: Professionalism,  Communication, and  Problem Solving.

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interact with employers and recruiters including responding to employer emails, maintaining databases, and conducting outreach 
  • Support Employer Relations activities (employer visits, career fairs, info session, job/internship postings, etc.) including event planning support, pre-event preparation, day of logistics support, and data management 
  • Demonstrate understanding of protocol and procedures for standard Employer Relations activities, career experiences, and internship programming 
  • Experience in customer services, sales, recruiting, or event planning a plus
