Project Manager - Architecture

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager - Architecture to oversee and manage architectural projects from concept to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate the design, planning, and execution of architectural projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver successful projects in compliance with all regulatory requirements and client specifications.

THE VALUE YOU BRING:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of architectural projects, ensuring all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to develop and refine project goals, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project. Regularly update clients on project progress, issues, and changes.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, minimizing costs, and staying within financial parameters. Monitor expenses and prepare regular reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project teams, including architects, designers, and consultants. Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging creative solutions and effective problem-solving.
  • Contractor & Vendor Management: Oversee the selection and management of contractors and vendors. Ensure quality standards, timelines, and safety protocols are adhered to. Resolve any issues that arise during construction or design phases.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential project risks and proactively develop solutions to mitigate them. Address any issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards. Prepare necessary documentation for permits, approvals, and inspections.
  • Quality Control & Design Oversight: Monitor the quality of architectural work to ensure that it meets design specifications, client requirements, and industry standards. Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, meeting minutes, and status reports. Provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.

THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience managing large-scale projects and working with cross-functional teams is highly preferred. 10 years of experience is preferred. 
  • Licensures and Certifications: Architectural license is required. Other credentials such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certifications is a plusLEED AP is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of architectural design, building systems, construction methods, and project management principles.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex challenges under pressure.
