Summer staff leadership job - May 14th - Aug 4th

Includes on-site housing and all meals provided.

Support Staff Leadership supports our international staff support staff (primarily from Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries) as they navigate a new country, culture, job, and community by developing over-the-top hospitality in housing, discipleship & experiences. The following list is by no means exhaustive, but a minimum expectation of supporting and caring for our international team members:

Housing: 

  • Serving as house leadership - enforcing the rules stated in the handbook and contract that each individual has signed is followed
  • Maintaining a safe, hospitable environment
  • Coordinating a schedule to ensure cleanliness
  • Keeping house supplies stocked

Discipleship:

  • Sharing the Gospel daily
  • Leading small groups with multiple departments
  • Providing one-on-one discipleship
  • Working alongside support staff in their roles (housekeeping, food service, grounds, maintenance)
  • Planning department staff love events (cooking meals, camping trips, sports tournaments, etc) and birthday celebrations
  • Providing care in any situation (i.e., homesick, exhaustion, illness, injury)
  • Cleaning and maintaining staff lounge room
  • Available to answer questions and connect staff to solutions for common problems related to housing, doctor's appointments, meals while sick, technology problems, host homes, withdrawing money for camp cards, etc.
  • Meeting needs as they arise (i.e., picking up a shift when necessary)

Experiences: 

  • Planning and executing a minimum of 3 cultural trips per department
  • Meeting van drivers and driving a town trip one or more days per week as needed
  • Running at least one on-camp activity or group development activity weekly for each department
  • Facilitating cross department interactions and providing events for general community building among staff (includes collaborating with recruiting)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hoping to share Jesus in a ministry setting
  • Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship needed)
  • Over 21 with a valid driver's license and comfortable driving or learning to drive a 15-passenger van
  • Spanish speaking is not required but very beneficial 
  • Most summer staff are under the age of 28

Weekly stipend of $325 plus food and lodging
