Manufacturing Process Engineer

Summary:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer leads projects, manages documentation, oversees engineering change requests, and develops and implements manufacturing processes at Attleboro Stamping. This role ensures smooth operations, drives continuous improvement, and supports lean manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in engineering change requests and document control systems.
  • Analyze and optimize workflows, equipment placement, and factory layouts.
  • Identify and solve manufacturing equipment issues, proposing improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company standards for quality, cost control, and safety.
  • Support process improvements and manage ERP systems.
  • Use data analysis to inform future manufacturing requirements.
  • Thrive in both collaborative and independent settings with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: B.S. in Engineering or 5+ years in manufacturing, engineering, or quality systems, preferably metal stamping.
  • Skills: Problem-solving, project management, blueprint reading, and GD&T. Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and CAD (preferred).
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently, and team-oriented, with strong communication skills.

Work Environment:
Primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to noisy, non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environments.

Physical Demands:
Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs), frequent communication, and vision abilities for detailed work.

Additional Training:
Ongoing job-specific training will be provided as needed.
