Director of Program Compliance

POSITION OVERVIEW - perfect for recent college graduate

It is anticipated that the person hired for this position will move into our CFO position over the next 4-6 years (taking on additional accounting responsibilities as skills develop) when the current CFO takes over as CEO for our retiring CEO.  In addition to the base salary, UMCFOOD will pay a bonus for attaining a CPA with a commitment to remain employed with UMCFOOD.  Perfect job for a recent college graduate.

UMC Food has grown steadily over the past decade and is now looking for a Director of Program Compliance professional to contribute to our mission of feeding children wholesome meals. This is an opportunity for a motivated professional to participate in the progression of our highly respected organization.

 

The Director of Program Compliance oversees and administers the functions of ensuring our compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations, as well as our internal policies. As a member of the senior management team, the director will be involved in strategic planning and evaluation, as well as planning for expansion to multiple new sites. Responsibilities include:

Leadership: Oversee, direct, and organize the compliance of our partner agencies with the regulations required for continuing to provide them with free meals, overseeing our internal supporting documentation process, on boarding new feeding sites, and providing in-persona and virtual training opportunities for both staff and partner agencies. Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach.

 

Partner Onboarding: Reach out to organizations that may want to partner with UMCFood to provide free meal to children participating in their program; determine their qualifications to participate; determine their capability to be accountable for program compliance, and provide initial and on-going training as required/needed.

 

Partner Compliance: Provide continual in-person and virtual (during pandemic) observation of meal services to ensure compliance with proper distribution of meals, and proper documentation of number of meals provided.

 

Staff Training: Provide opportunities for in-person and virtual training opportunities so that all partners and staff remain current on all policies, rules and regulations.
