We are seeking a detail-orientated and motivated Payroll Tax Coordinator Intern to assist our Tax Department with various tax-related functions. The intern will gain hands-on experience in preparing clients’ payroll tax returns, tax compliance, and reporting, while supporting the team in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings and document organization. This position will primarily report to the Tax Director and Tax Manager, while working with the entire tax department.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 0-3 years’ experience in payroll/tax or finance related field preferred, but not required
- Experience in Microsoft applications; Excel, Word, etc.
- Professional and courteous verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to address customer issues that promote the organization’s services and core values
- Must be a team player and work under the direction of others in a goal-based management system.
- Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks and stay organized.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- A strong work ethic and the desire to continue improving professional, payroll and working skills.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
