SIP 2025 - ITS - User Services Student Intern (Jerry Sue Thornton Center) at Tri-C ITS - User Services
To establish design specifications, configuration and deployment of end user desktop and mobile device hardware and software environment; maintain and enforce client computing policies and procedures including security. Manage client hardware repair or replacement. Maintain asset inventory control and life cycle management of client hardware. Support all convenience desktop and network copy/print devices, and related services. Provide consulting services with solution providers and vendors, in support of established service level agreements in support of the college’s mission, vision and values.
Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with computer repair service and preventive maintenance and installation services.
- Assist technicians with inventory and asset management of computer hardware.
- Assist technician with managing, processing and decommissioning of computer surplus equipment.
- Provide quality customer service and meet user expectations.
- Assist technicians with addressing and manage helpdesk support tickets.
- Complete a special project assigned by the department in support of Information Technology Services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Information Technology Career Track, Software, Desktop Support, Network focused.
- Enrolled Coursework - IT 1010 and similar
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, email and Internet applications)
- Good communication skills (oral and written), Enthusiastic.
- Familiarity with Information Technology hardware and software systems.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
