As an agency at the forefront of the fashion industry, we pride ourselves on our collaborative, inclusive environment and our commitment to the professional growth of both our models and clients. 2024 clients have included brands such as Nike, Apple, Nutribullet, Neutrogena, USDA, Kalahari Resorts, etc. We are seeking a creative, driven, and proactive student to join us as a remote intern for the Spring 2025 program.
Position Overview: As a remote intern with PDX MODELS, you will gain hands-on experience in the modeling and fashion industry, working closely with our agency director to support various aspects of talent management, marketing, social media, and client relations. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a student to develop their skills in a real-world setting, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to their own personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Scouting & Recruitment: Learn how to conduct extensive research on social media platforms and industry events to identify emerging talents and influencers that align with the agency’s goals. Assist in conducting interviews and evaluating potential talent.
- Marketing & Social Media Strategy: Learn how to assist in developing and executing strategic marketing plans for our social media channels, including content creation, casting call presentations, and audience engagement. Design and produce creative content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Assist on TikTok Live days where our signed models are submitted live to global brands castings.
- Client Outreach & Relationship Building: Learn how to support outreach efforts by curating lists of potential clients and partners, preparing and pitching talent to businesses, and maintaining positive relationships between the agency, models, and clients.
- Research & Reporting: Learn how to produce detailed reports on industry trends, including market dynamics, emerging fashion styles, and competitive analysis, to help keep the agency informed and proactive.
- Casting Calls & Support: Learn how to assist in the planning and coordination of virtual events, casting calls, and go-sees. Learn how to use communication and logistics to ensure smooth execution.
- Portfolio Management: Work with the agency director to update and maintain models' portfolios, ensuring that they are current and reflect the latest trends and industry standards.
- Administrative Support: Help with general administrative tasks, such as maintaining social media numbers of all signed models, completing mini projects assigned on a weekly basis, and assisting with social media content preparation.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Fashion, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the fashion and modeling industry.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and research skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with a proactive and creative mindset.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Experience with video editing or content creation is an advantage.
