Product Program Manager

The Product Program Manager is responsible for implementing the Product Program (both the Fall Product Program and the Girl Scout Cookie Program) for the Girl Scouts of Alaska council. This position will plan and execute the fall product and cookie programs and work with staff, volunteers, and vendors to meet council goals for girl outcomes and sales revenue. The position will market and educate girls, parents, volunteers, and the general public on the product program benefits with an emphasis on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and the 5 Key Business Skills.

To be successful in this position:

You Are:

  • Committed to the policies and mission of the Girl Scout organization and willing to become a Girl Scout member.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings and weekends during designated peak seasons (January-March).

You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field, and at least 3 years of progressively responsible related experience; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Excellent organization, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide an exceptional positive experience to internal and external customers, vendors, girls, and volunteers.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite; PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Publisher.
  • Familiarity with database tools; comfortable working with multiple sources of information to complete analysis; experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Expertise in building and implementing strategies to increase product and retail sales a plus.
  • Superior analytical and financial skills in developing product sales forecasts, plans, and budgets a plus.
  • Experience developing external vendor relationships; advanced negotiation skills a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and reliable transportation for travel to off-site locations as necessary.
  • Previous Girl Scout experience a plus.

You Will:

  • Sit at a desk and work on a computer and talk on the phone for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Manually operate office equipment.
  • Perform tasks that involve exertion of moderate physical activity which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 35 pounds) and/or standing for varying periods of time.
  • Complete an annual background check.
