Immediate Opening for Auto-CAD Position

Austin, Texas based Prometheus Security Group (PSG) Global, www.psgglobal.net is seeking a CAD software Designer.  Responsibilities include engineering design support, drafting and modeling of new products and production of detailed installation drawing packages and graphical content for access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems for security applications.

This is a Temp to Permanent opportunity.  Salary Range is $40-60K annually - commensurate with experience.  Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and offers attractive benefits package.

Role:   Develop/maintain drawings and specifications for security equipment, controls, and processes by using computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment. Must possess prior experience with Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering design practices. 
Requires: 2D and 3D design planes, basic mathematical skills, knowledge of CAD software and support equipment.  Possess organizational and communication skills, be goal oriented, self-starter, team player.  Project a professional image and commitment to customer satisfaction:
• AA Degree (AAS) Degree in Design/Drafting or 3+ years in 2D & 3D CAD Software
• Familiarity or experience using AutoCAD 2024 or later, Solidworks, etc.
• Background in Graphics Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio etc.)
• Able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
• Work Schedule - 8-5 M-F.  May include evening and weekends when necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Create, modify and revise system designs.
• Design detailed specifications for components using computer aided design S/W.
• Coordinate w/others design, layout, components/systems to resolve issues.
• Review specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas.
• Track, control and organize drawings w/versioning and part numbering system.
• Compliance w/system design documentation and some technical writing.
• Able to complete tasks on schedule and interface with clients.
Qualifications and Credentials:
• Planning and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with CAD symbols and standards. 
• Experience with GIS mapping and ESRI compliant ArcGIS.
• Interpret architectural plans/spec.’s and translate into drawing.
• Create electrical schematics, interconnection diagrams and other related drawings.
• Effective written and verbal communications.
