SIP 2025 - Recording Engineer (Off Campus) at Refresh Collective
Refresh Collective is a nonprofit that empowers youth & adults through the power of hip-hop music, the arts, and creativity. We believe that students become better citizens and leaders when they gain the confidence to pick up a mic, design their own clothes, or film a music video to express themselves. As our founder Dee Jay Doc says, “When you tell your own story, it gives you ownership over it. It helps us all, especially in overcoming trauma.” Our mission is to uplift young people’s lives through life-changing experiences in music, art, and creativity, inspired by the original elements of hip-hop.
Refresh has helped over 14,000 students record music in Cleveland since our founding. We have performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, numerous cultural festivals, Browns Stadium, and officially kicked off a Cleveland Cavaliers game.
Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
Refresh Collective is seeking talented, skilled, a creative intern to assist with the recording, mixing and mastering. The Recording Engineer Intern will support our teaching team and students at our summer Hip-hop recording arts programs by editing, mixing, and mastering songs as well as teaching students how to record vocals. We recommend that interns have a healthy love of music and can be helpful and positive member of our team, especially in supporting students as they gain skills.
