SIP 2025 -Summer 2025 Education Department Internship (Off Campus) at Greater Cleveland Aquarium
Ready to dive into an aquatic adventure? Add a splash of wonder to any day at Greater Cleveland Aquarium!
Whether you peer at piranha, smile at a stingray, observe an octopus , view a tegu or marvel over moon jellies, up-close and immersive views let you go nose-to-nose with native species and head deep under the sea. Fresh and saltwater habitats allow you to journey to nearby lakes or explore faraway oceans, while daily interactive experiences put you in touch with the living world and your natural curiosity.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
Bring together your love of teaching and love of science at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. Shadow aquarium educators to gain hands-on experience in the areas of education program delivery, interpretation techniques, and classroom management. You will gain valuable experience for a career in informal science education at facilities like aquariums, zoos and museums, all while being supported by the Splash Fund and forwarding the Aquarium’s mission.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Be currently enrolled in a college or university
- Major in biology, zoology, environmental science, conservation, education, or related field
- Have a minimum of one year of course work in the major field of study
- General knowledge of biology, environmental science, and conservation
- Previous experience working with children preferred

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
