SIP 2025 - Entrepreneurship Intern (East) at Center for Entrepreneurs at Corporate College

The mission of The Center for Entrepreneurs at Corporate College is to provide resources and support to help individuals and businesses succeed in their entrepreneurial pursuits. We strive to empower and inspire entrepreneurs of all backgrounds and to foster a culture of innovation and
creativity within our community.  We are committed to connecting entrepreneurs with the resources they need to reach their goals and to create a vibrant and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. This includes a two-track curriculum: Discovery and Foundation; professional development programs, mentoring, workshops, and a speaker series, to name a few.  We also launched a podcast studio and related curriculum, to educate users about podcasting along with rental opportunities.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

The Entrepreneurship Intern will work closely with the Center for Entrepreneurs team to enhance programming at the Center.  

Responsibilities

  • Enhancing and updating the Center for Entrepreneurs website
  • Assist with marketing and advertising for the center - conventional and digital
  • Assist with the development of an on-line scheduling system for the Podcast Studio
  • Research foundations and identify possible funding opportunities for Center services and student scholarships. Along with assisting in the development of partnerships with other entrepreneurial organizations in the NE Ohio ecosystem.
  • Assist with class preparation, including material and classroom prep.
  • Research and develop a mentorship program for completers of our entrepreneurship classes.
  • Assist with the launching of a fall pitch competition and micro-grant program
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use Internet search engines to research entrepreneurship and funding information
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Desire to learn about small business development
  • Attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
