MSLD Student Intern

The Equipment Support Section (ESS) supports the California Air Resources Board's (CARB) mission by ensuring equipment used in the Mobile Source Laboratory Division (MSLD) is maintained and operating properly. MSLD utilizes equipment for exhaust and evaporative testing in many different types of test cells. Data from emissions testing is used to inform CARB's programs, so they may make informed decisions that help reduce air pollution in the state.

ESS is seeking a candidate, studying within physical, chemistry, environmental sciences, mathematics, information systems, engineering, or related fields, interested in gaining experience: operating, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing laboratory test equipment used in engine and vehicle exhaust and evaporative emissions testing. Ideal candidates will have an interest in troubleshooting analytical instruments and following quality assurance practices.
