Responsibilities:What You Will Do:
The Maintenance and Facilities division at Disneyland Resort is looking for individuals who have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy, industrial machinery.
"Outside Machinists" (maintenance mechanics) work on the Disneyland Resort attractions and ride vehicles. This position performs functional checks, troubleshooting, overhauling, maintenance, repair, and alteration of systems and equipment, and conducts quality checks of completed work of equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Two or more years experience directly related as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial production facility
- At least 18 years of age
Schedule Availability:
- Shifts are typically at night, and individuals must have availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off.
Preferred Qualifications:Technical Abilities:
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and basic tools required of a machinist
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with alignment of pumps and shafts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with the use of PCs
- Ability to use fall protection, boatswain’s chair, power scaffold, and positioning equipment
- Experience using standard shop equipment such as a drill press, hydraulic press, grinders, sanders, band saws
- Experience with hoists, lifting and jacking devices, powered carts (Mules), man lifts and lift trucks
- Ability to safely climb ladders, stairs, and structures, and for those specified to Disney California Adventure, are you able to work at heights up to 200 feet above the ground
The pay rate for this role in California is $38.48 to $46.85 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
