Office Location: Remote in NC with office locations in Ahoskie, Jacksonville, Wilmington, Greenville 1019

What We’re Looking For:

Responsible for multiple claims processing duties and assisting providers by phone or email with claims processing questions.  

On a typical day, you might:

  • Provide training to the Provider community on the claims processing system.
  • Input data into the system such as claims as needed.
  • Analyze, research, and correct, if applicable, claims payments and denials.
  • Generate and analyze claims payment and exception reports to determine problems.   Analyze, research, track and correct if possible the reasons for the denials, etc.
  • Provide technical assistance to providers in the form of phone calls and/or emails.
  • File paperwork (claim forms, payback/adjustments from Providers etc.)

Qualifications: 

Education: High School or GED

Required Experience:

One (1) year of clerical experience required or equivalent of higher education or higher education/experience.  Requires computer related experience.

 

Preferred Experience:

Experience in the health care field and /or experience in claim processing or accounting related field preferred.  Prefer computer related experience in Microsoft Office Excel application.

License/Certification: None

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must reside in NC to be considered for remote status
