About the Arts & Culture Program
The Kresge Foundation’s Arts & Culture Program focuses on the integration of arts, culture and community-engaged design strategies into equitable community development and urban planning. Through this integration, the program seeks to position culture and creativity as drivers of more just communities. Grants and investments support creative and cultural efforts that give residents more agency in their communities, connect neighbors to each other, contribute to the narrative of place, and inspire collective action. We believe these are pre-conditions to creating healthy, sustainable places in which residents can live abundant, self-determined lives.
