Young, innovative, next generation professional services and consulting firm seeks individuals for its’ unpaid internship program. Cowan Consulting, LC is dedicated to solving the everyday problems of individuals and businesses. We are currently looking for new talent in our Business Development (i.e. financial modeling, client acquisition/development etc.) business segment.

This challenging position provides unique exposure to the business/real estate world and builds essential skills for the future. Your responsibilities will include planning projects with our consultants, clients and/or affiliate firms (i.e. MNC Development, Inc). in a team-oriented environment. You will play an integral role in the development of project materials, serve as a source of information for project team members, and be held accountable for project deadlines, standards, and quality.

Multi-tasking will be a constant at Cowan Consulting, LC, as we all wear multiple hats simultaneously. This position is ideal for students who are adept at dealing with people, comfortable presenting in front of groups, eager to learn and challenge him/herself, and are looking to gain experience in one of the following areas: E-Business, Law, Real Estate, Business Development, Finance, Architectural/Engineering-Interior Digital Design etc.

Strong writing and communication skills, a high energy level, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are required. You need to be willing to work hard and to learn. Project work will range from the detailed to the conceptual.

Qualified students are required to be enrolled in a full-time or part-time accredited academic program during the internship period. Students must be able to earn academic course credit upon successful completion of the internship. It is the student's responsibility to seek possible credit for this internship. The intern must work a minimum 12 hours and a maximum 20 hours weekly during an unpaid internship that reports to the CEO (Moses Cowan). The internship is unpaid and employment is not promised or guaranteed upon completion of the externship. All relevant majors (i.e. finance, real estate etc.) and/or those with applicable skills are welcome. Check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit.

Partial work task summary:

—Participate in the evaluation of live real estate deals involving the development of commercial real estate nationwide.

• Prepare and present investment memos to real estate professionals

• Receive training on real estate fundamentals, property valuation, deal financing, financial modeling, and market research.

• Work with professionals to build cash flow projections and sensitivity analysis based on growth rates, hold periods, and data analysis.
