Training Coordinator

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced Remote Centered environment with variety in your work? The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a Training Coordinator with experience in Customer Service and working with Vendors.

Under the general direction of the Training Manager (Staff Services Manager I), the associate governmental program analyst (AGPA) serves as one of the leads in processing training expenditure requests and invoices in order to help the department get training. They also serve as a back to other analysts on their team on scheduling trainings, working with vendors and managing the learning management system. They may on occasion assist with internal presentations or trainings.

Working Conditions

  • The incumbent must be able to work in a high-rise building.
  • The incumbent may telework in accordance with CDI's Telework Policy. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.

Statement of Qualifications

 

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be included. The SOQ shall be typed in 12-point Arial font, no more than one (1) page in length, and address the following question(s):

1. This role will involve balancing administrative responsibilities related to training development and managing the department's Learning Management System. Describe a time when you had to manage multiple competing priorities within tight deadlines. Explain how you determined which tasks to prioritize, the strategies or tools you used to organize your workload, and the steps you took to ensure everything was completed successfully.
