Job Description  

Ipsen is a leading global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to improving lives through innovative medicines in Oncology, Rare Disease, and Neuroscience. We are seeking undergraduate and graduate candidates for our summer internship program at Ipsen in our office in Cambridge, MA.  

The summer internship program is structured as a 3-month experience, whereby the Associate is placed in a business unit within the company. This includes areas such as but not limited to Sales, Marketing, Operations, Market Access, Business Development, Finance, Human Resources, and Digital Health.  

This program is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain broad and meaningful work experiences that will prepare them for a successful career in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry. Successful candidates will have a passion for improving lives through innovative medicines and an educational or experience background in science and business.   

This position will be hosted by Research & Development Global Biometry, which provides statistics, statistical programming and data management support for Ipsen human clinical trials and non-clinical studies and experiments.  

Responsibilities  

  • Participate in a three-month program within our Cambridge, MA office  
  • Perform statistical research that will advance the development of an Ipsen asset, e.g. statistical simulations to characterize the operating characteristics of an Ipsen clinical trial 
  • Assist in R&D Global Biometry activities, including, for example, validation of clinical trial data summaries, reconciliation between different sources of data, and research into statistical methodology 
  • Present to Ipsen colleagues on research and/or other related topics and activities 
  • Participate in Global Biometry meetings and technical discussions 
  • Develop an understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry today as well as the challenges and opportunities that will drive the future of Ipsen 

  

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree; or graduate student pursuing a degree in statistics, biostatistics, applied mathematics, computer science or another related field 
  • Interest and understanding of introductory statistics or biostatistics 
  • Experience with statistical software, e.g. R, SAS, Python or JMP 
  • 3.0 GPA is a minimum requirement  
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.  
  • Fluency in English is required. French and other European languages are an asset
  • Ideal candidates can communicate effectively, learn quickly, takes ownership of their work to deliver results, and is a true collaborator  

 

We will not consider graduate students or undergraduate students graduating before December 2025. We are also not providing housing support so students will need to provide their own housing over the course of the 11-week program.
