Microbiologist

We are currently seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join our team and support our commitment to quality and safety.
Position Overview:
The Microbiologist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products through microbiological testing and analysis. This individual will be responsible for conducting routine and non-routine microbiological testing, ensuring compliance with FDA and EPA regulations, and working closely with the quality assurance and production teams to meet the standards for personal care products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with FDA and EPA guidelines, particularly for OTC hygiene products.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and maintain microbiological laboratory equipment.
- Analyze and interpret data, documenting findings accurately for regulatory and internal reporting.
- Assist in developing and validating microbiological methods and procedures.
- Investigate microbiological deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and Regulatory, to meet product safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with FDA and EPA regulations is required.
- Previous experience working with personal care products or consumer goods in a regulated environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of microbiological testing methods and laboratory safety protocols.
- Experience with environmental monitoring and contamination control.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
