Overview: The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to facilitate the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects within specified deadlines and budgetary constraints. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Coordination: Assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of their responsibilities and deadlines.
- Resource Management: Support in allocating resources efficiently to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project schedules.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables, and work with the Project Manager to develop mitigation strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in monitoring project progress and quality, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
- Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among project team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Act as a point of contact for resolving project-related issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, process improvements, and lessons learned for future projects.
Requirements:
- Project Management or related field experience.
- Proven experience in project management or coordination roles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Office…)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- PMP certification (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of Agile or other project management methodologies (preferred but not required).
