About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our Comprehensive Assessment and Review for Long-Term Care Services (CARES) team. This position plays a critical role in supporting Florida’s elders, helping them maintain independence and age well in their communities.

What You’ll Do:
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you’ll:
- Accurately input and manage client information using the Client Information and Registration Tracking System (CIRTS).
- Coordinate staff schedules, respond to inquiries from care providers, and maintain client files.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and technical documentation with precision.
- Ensure timely and organized mail handling, supply management, and travel form processing.
- Support disaster recovery efforts and participate in special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
We’re looking for someone with:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- The ability to collaborate in a team setting and maintain confidentiality.
- A professional and courteous demeanor.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution with at least one year of professional secretarial or clerical experience; OR
- Three years of professional secretarial or clerical work experience; OR
- A combination of education and experience totaling three years, including at least one year of professional secretarial or clerical work.

Preference will be given to current DOEA employees.
