Medical Assistant
Requirements:
Looking for Nursing, PA or other healthcare students for Medical Assistant position
-Some clinical experience at the college level is preferred, but not mandatory
- Past experience of working in a healthcare position preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with medication administration techniques
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in using the computer for electronic health record system
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Take and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests or pregnancy tests
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care according to the doctor's orders and recommendations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow in the clinic - Perform a variety of administrative functions including but not limited to: patient follow-up calls, screening and follow-up with patient test results, phone triag - Follow office policies - Follow both HIPPA and safety rules
