Job Title: Part-Time After-School Teacher/Tutor (Homework Help)
Locations: Fairfax City and One Loudoun

Job Description:
The Masterpiece Academy seeks dedicated and passionate part-time after-school teachers to join our team at our Fairfax and One Loudoun locations. If you are committed to helping students succeed and are looking for a flexible, rewarding teaching opportunity, we'd love to hear from you! You don't need to leave your current job. This is perfect for those earning extra money after office hours.

Responsibilities:

  • After school hours, provide engaging and practical study skills and homework help to elementary, middle, or high school students.  You may work with a particular grade level in your comfort zone.
  • Support and guide students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Use the provided Learning Management System to track and manage student progress.
  • Maintain clear and respectful communication with students, families, and staff.
  • Foster a caring and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: State teaching license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Required: degree in any discipline, especially high school Math & Sciences
  • Personable, caring, respectful, honest, and trustworthy.
  • Dedicated to serving students and families.
  • If you do not have students during your contract time, you may help create instructional materials for our students.
  • Computer literate and willing to learn our learning management system  
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (approximately 20-25 hours or less per week) with occasional weekend hours. You may choose to work on your preferred days and times. The more time

  • This is a 1099 contractual position.
  • $2000 to $2500, depending on your qualifications and actual work time.
