Idaho temporary position/internship in Community Outreach and Engagement
Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah is hiring community outreach and engagement interns in Idaho.
This paid, remote position will provide college students or recent graduates with hands-on experience in cancer prevention and control, health education, and more. The position can fulfill internship or practicum requirements, remotely supporting Huntsman Cancer Institute staff in administrative, research, advocacy, and community outreach and engagement efforts.
Interns will also work with the Comprehensive Cancer Alliance of Idaho and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
Program Eligibility:
- Enrolled or recently graduated (within 2 years) from an Idaho college or university. Academic background in public health, community engagement, health policy, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation for Idaho-based events.
- Available for in-person orientation in March 2025, in Salt Lake City, UT
(travel covered).
Program Details:
- Spots available: 2
- Program Duration: March 5, 2025 – June 27, 2025
- Time Commitment: 10 hours per week/40 hours per month
- Location: Remote position, student must reside in the state of Idaho.
- Compensation: $5,000 stipend at the completion of the internship.
