The Montessori Lab School at Grand Center – School Support Specialist
The School Support Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing fundraising efforts to support The Montessori Lab School’s goals. This role involves coordinating campaigns, cultivating donor relationships, and ensuring effective communication to maximize contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Assist with daily office operations, including managing schedules,
handling correspondence, and office needs.
Supply Coordination: Manage inventory of school supplies, materials, and equipment, ensuring timely orders and distribution.
Facilities and Classroom Support: Support transitions between classrooms, break coverage, nap, recess and dismissal support. Duties to include, laundry, dishes, small cleaning tasks etc.
Classroom support: Supports classroom needs including laundry, dishes and nap assistance.
Helps transition children outdoors and assists with outdoor activities
Grant Writing: Research, prepare, and submit grant applications to secure funding from foundations and other sources.
Budget Management: Track fundraising income and expenses, providing regular reports to leadership. ensuring materials are available and aligned with Montessori principles.
Snack Distribution: Prepare and distribute snacks, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
