Camp Operations Specialist
We Need Someone Who Loves to Keep Busy
The job involves supporting the Camp Operations Director with the setup, breakdown, and daily operations of the camp. You will get our Day Camp running and keep it humming for 8 weeks.
Starting the Saturday and Sunday before camp starts and finishing late on the last day of camp you will help set up, maintain and break down activities. Examples of daily tasks include supervising and implementing camp setup and breakdown, which encompasses carpool setup (including speaker system and wavy guy), inflating items, preparing all sports activities (both indoor and outdoor), setting up ice and water stations, and arranging sunshade tents for outdoor activities and carpool as needed.
You will rack up a week's worth of steps in a day as you deliver equipment and supplies needed, set up special events, or manage inventories. You will be the vital engine that keeps the camp machine running.
The Operations Specialist needs to be able to lift heavy objects, be reliable and have a strong initiative tempered with good judgment. You will be interacting with nearly 700 kids from Pre-School to High School and will need a sense of fun…Camp Style.
