Internship Type: Part-Time (10-15 hours per week)

Position Summary:
Urban Hope Indy is seeking a Fundraising Intern to assist with the planning, administration, and execution of fundraising campaigns and initiatives. This intern will work closely with the Development team to track fundraising progress, assist with donor communications, and help ensure successful outcomes for campaigns. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and contribute to a meaningful cause.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns, including email appeals, online fundraising efforts, and events.
  • Help manage donor databases, ensuring accurate tracking of contributions and donor communications.
  • Assist in preparing donor communication materials, such as thank-you notes, newsletters, and campaign updates.
  • Track fundraising campaign results, measure performance, and provide reports on progress toward goals.
  • Assist in identifying potential donors and supporters, helping to research and compile lists for outreach efforts.
  • Help organize and support fundraising events, including logistics, guest lists, and post-event follow-up.
  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate and refine fundraising strategies to improve performance and engagement.
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, maintaining campaign calendars, and assisting with event planning.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to engage a variety of audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Comfortable working with donor management software and fundraising platforms (experience is a plus).
  • Passion for Urban Hope Indy’s mission and commitment to community development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and contribute to a team-focused environment.
