Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid – On-Site and Remote)
Internship Type: Part-Time (10-15 hours per week)

Position Summary:
Urban Hope Indy is seeking a highly organized and motivated Program Event Coordinator Intern to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of programs and events. This intern will be responsible for handling logistics, managing communications, and supporting volunteer coordination to ensure the success of Urban Hope’s activities. This role offers hands-on experience in event coordination and program management within a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assist with the planning and execution of programs, events, and activities, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
  • Handle logistics such as securing venues, coordinating transportation, and managing event materials.
  • Manage event and program schedules, ensuring timely execution and clear communication of details to all involved.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment, training, and management to ensure an effective and motivated team.
  • Communicate with participants, volunteers, and partners to provide updates, reminders, and necessary information.
  • Support the administration of programs and events by maintaining records, preparing reports, and handling post-event evaluations.
  • Work closely with other team members to promote events and ensure alignment with organizational goals and branding.
  • Assist with other event-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Event Planning, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with volunteers or coordinating teams is a plus.
  • Comfortable with handling logistical tasks such as scheduling, venue coordination, and managing event supplies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (e.g., Google Docs, Sheets, and Calendar).
  • Passion for Urban Hope Indy’s mission and commitment to making a positive community impact.
