Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid – On-Site and Remote)
Internship Type: Part-Time (10-15 hours per week)

Position Summary:
Urban Hope Indy is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team. This role focuses on designing and producing effective collateral materials, coordinating newsletters and community updates, and building brand recognition through innovative marketing strategies.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about marketing, design, and nonprofit work to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce compelling marketing collateral, including flyers, brochures, and digital assets, that align with Urban Hope Indy’s branding.
  • Coordinate and distribute newsletters and community updates to engage donors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to build brand and name recognition across various platforms.
  • Assist in creating content for social media and website updates, ensuring consistent messaging and visual appeal.
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and execute marketing campaigns for events, fundraisers, and programs.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Support other marketing and communication tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar software.
  • Strong written communication skills for crafting engaging newsletters and marketing materials.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) is a plus.
  • Understanding of branding principles and how to maintain consistency across all materials.
  • Creative thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passion for Urban Hope Indy’s mission and community impact.
