Position Summary:
Urban Hope Indy is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Content Creator and Publisher Intern to join our team. This role involves creating, coordinating, and publishing engaging posts across our social media platforms and website. The intern will play a vital role in enhancing our online presence, growing our digital community, and strengthening our brand’s standing.
This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about digital content creation, social media strategy, and storytelling with a purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create high-quality, engaging content (text, images, and videos) for Urban Hope Indy’s social media platforms and website.
- Coordinate and schedule regular posts that align with the organization’s mission, goals, and key campaigns.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content strategy and engagement.
- Interact with followers, respond to comments, and foster community engagement.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
- Support social media campaigns to promote events, fundraisers, and programs.
- Assist with creating and maintaining a content calendar for social media and website updates.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) and their best practices.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) and/or video editing software is a plus.
- Excellent written and visual communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Passion for Urban Hope Indy’s mission and storytelling through social media.
