Position Summary:
Urban Hope Indy is seeking a tech-savvy and resourceful Information Technology Intern to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining, updating, and enhancing our WordPress Elementor website, optimizing our SEO to improve online visibility, assisting with business systems applications, and supporting data management needs.

This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about technology, digital solutions, and nonprofit impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update Urban Hope Indy’s WordPress Elementor website, ensuring a user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional platform.
  • Optimize website SEO to enhance search engine rankings and increase visibility.
  • Support staff with website and social media content management.
  • Assist with the integration, troubleshooting, and improvement of business systems applications.
  • Support staff with data management tasks, including organizing and maintaining program-related data.
  • Monitor website analytics and provide actionable insights for improvements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions to enhance digital systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement digital strategies that align with Urban Hope Indy’s goals.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in WordPress and Elementor, with experience in website maintenance and design.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and strategies.
  • Familiarity with business systems applications and database management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Passion for Urban Hope Indy’s mission and a desire to contribute to community-focused projects.
