Learning Application: The Accounting, Research, and Database Management Internship at Sports Media, Inc. is designed to provide hands-on experience in financial operations, research, and database management. Interns will work closely with professionals in finance and operations, gaining practical insights into the financial and administrative aspects of the sports media business.

Responsibilities:

Accounting Support:

• Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Participate in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Research and Analysis:

• Conduct research on financial trends, industry benchmarks, and market analysis relevant to the sports media sector.
• Summarize findings and present insights to the finance team.

Database Management:

• Assist in maintaining and updating financial databases and records.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of data management processes.

Financial Reporting:

• Support the finance team in generating regular financial reports.
• Assist in preparing materials for budgeting and forecasting activities.

Collaboration and Learning:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the unique financial challenges and opportunities in the sports media industry.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be available to attend meetings on Mondays at 9:00 AM, Wednesdays at 10:00 AM, and Fridays at 8:00 AM Mountain Standard Time.
• If in the Skill Bridge program, must attend an additional meeting on Thursdays at 9:00 AM Mountain Standard Time
• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Enthusiastic and proactive attitude with a passion for finance and operations.
