SIP 2025 - Accounting Intern (Off Campus) at Cartagena CPA and Consultants LLC

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Use bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases to enter financial transactions into the appropriate computer software; receive and record cash, checks, and vouchers; input costs and income to the appropriate account; produce reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and totals by account
- Maintain databases and filing systems, whether electronic or paper
- Collect relevant information and perform data entry for tax returns
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, website inquiries and faxes
- Handle customer inquiries
- Other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
- Working Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite highly preferred
- Strong client service orientation, and effective communicator, comfortable interacting with a variety of individuals, from different backgrounds and levels in different platforms. High level of professionalism to handle client requests and complaints
- Strong work ethic to handle highly confidential information

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
