Caregiver (DSP) - Spunky Woman
UCP Oregon is an exciting and empowering place to work. We help adults who experience developmental disabilities to live the life of their dreams—whether that’s living independently, working in a great job, or pursuing their interests and hobbies.
We’re currently seeking a full-time caregiver “Personal Assistant” to work with a spunky, young woman who lives in her own apartment in Happy Valley. She is someone who likes to be busy doing fun activities. A typical day looks like having a sing-along session or dance party, making crafts and watching Disney movies, or visiting OMSI and going out for a drive. You’ll also assist with meals, household chores, medication administration, and other physical tasks like bathing and dressing.
As her Personal Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to help build her skills in different areas that are important to her, such as helping her make her own decisions, regulate and manage her emotions, and encourage her to use words to express her feelings.
This is a rewarding opportunity where you can make a positive difference in someone’s life and work with a bubbly personality who makes going to work something to look forward to.
You'll work three shifts per week totaling 40 hours per week: Sunday 11am - 7am Monday, Tuesday 7am-7pm, and Friday 8am-5pm.
*You’ll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays.
Please note that this customer lives in a non-smoking complex.
