Job Description and Duties

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

The CalPERS User Experience (UX) and Information Design team is currently seeking a Senior UX Designer to help define and drive the future of CalPERS UX/UI digital products and align to CalPERS mission. You identify and set strategy, envision complex systems and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You possess a clear vision of the future of UX and have the courage to pursue forward-thinking design.

In this role, you will apply your passion for brand, craft, and design fidelity to guide research and design processes, mentor talented members of the team, and collaborate with stakeholders to create innovative experiences across the UX team portfolio. You are a great design team leader, systems-level design thinker and visionary, with an outstanding intuition who will provide guidance for a team of UX designers and researchers. You have a sense for clean design and are committed to creating elegantly simple user experiences from otherwise complex workflows. You also take time to understand the performance side of design, and also the business aspects of the products.
