Internship Program Overview:

Participate in a paid internship program built around your career goals and hands-on projects that impact the organization. As part of the Lamb Weston University Recruiting Internship Program, Interns work towards completing a Capstone project and are assigned a mentor who will guide and evaluate performance. Whether you are interested in Agricultural Science, Data Science, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Manufacturing, Food Science, Marketing, or Engineering, our highly selective summer intern program has projects that will help you build the next stage in your career.

  • Paid  internship, May - August (dates may vary)
  • Gain real-world working experience through dynamic projects assigned by your mentor and assigned department
  • Network and learn from executives, department leaders, high performers, and fellow interns across the business
  • Receive guidance and feedback from your assigned mentor throughout the program
  • Professional development events providing tools that will help after the internship and after graduation

 

Marketing Intern Description:

The Marketing Internship program will allow you to develop your creative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. You will be exposed to our senior management along with the opportunity to learn more about the businesses within Lamb Weston.

Individual intern projects will be assigned and a final presentation made at the conclusion of the internship. Some examples of projects and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Marketing Operations

  • Assist the development and implementation of market plans such as market strategy, sales coordination, pricing proposal, merchandising and media plan, packaging, and distribution
  • Analyze marketing data to take advantage of opportunities and minimize adverse trends
  • Create compelling content and develop standardized sales templates to support the sales team, improve proposal consistency, and streamline the creation of sales materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and customer needs.
  • Work with marketing research, sales, distribution, advertising agencies and legal in the development of marketing plans

 

Digital Media

  • Assist with developing and delivering the digital marketing strategy in collaboration with marketing & cross-functional partners and external agencies
  • Provide comprehensive metadata support by creating, managing, and maintaining accurate metadata for digital assets, ensuring proper organization, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.
  • Assist with research and insights into new platforms, types of content & assets, technologies, and new business models to ensure Lamb Weston is best-in-class in the digital space
  • Refresh and create customer-facing tools and materials in conjunction with internal presentations

 

Basic and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be a current Junior, Senior, or Master’s student enrolled in a related program: Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, Advertising, Communications, or related field
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to meet the Lamb Weston Authorized Driver standards
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred
  • Strong verbal and written skills, attention to detail, and organization skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required (Powerpoint & Excel)
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Strong background with content creation tools and social media platform knowledge
  • Ability to manage a project from beginning to end
  • Data Management, analysis, and synthesis skills
  • Data visualization and design skills is preferred
