Survey Sample Production Assistant – Social Science

Our Methods, Analytics, and Data Science (MADS) team is seeking a Sample Production Assistant with 0-3+ years of experience to join the team. This role will support our Sampling Department and plays a key role in our work by being responsible for the timely and accurate production of sample files used throughout the company. Organizational skills and an ability to work with datasets of different structures are necessary for this position. A sense of humor will also come in handy.

Ideal candidates will be based in our Glen Mills, PA office, but remote work is a possibility for the right candidate.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce sample files used for data collection across a wide variety of studies using different survey modalities.
  • Track sample performance.
  • Communicate with internal operational teams.
  • Maintain project-specific schedules and monitor timelines.
  • Document project processes and procedures.
  • Review fieldwork and progress reports.
  • Other duties as the needs of the business dictate.

 

Position Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree ideally in social science, or STEM or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 0-3+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Excel or Access.
  • Familiarity with SQL a plus.
  • Familiarity with SPSS or another statistical package preferred.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while preserving attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous, attentive to detail, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Our team works closely with research teams throughout the project life cycles, delivering high-quality solutions based on experimentally validated methods. We specialize in designing and implementing rigorous, efficient sampling methods, particularly for rare and diverse populations, and employ innovative techniques to weight the resulting survey data.

In addition to our support role, the MADS department also takes a leadership position in shaping SSRS strategy and plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the methodological and statistical infrastructure of our probability panel.
