Chemistry Intern

Job Summary:

Graver Technologies is looking for Chemistry Intern to work with our Research & Development Team. The Intern will support our Research Team performing a wide variety of scientific activities, mainly to advance product development within our Adsorbent segment. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in a research environment and an opportunity to apply “book learning” to real world research challenges. The intern will have a project that provides a meaningful impact to the business and will present their project /findings to leadership.

Our products are used to efficiently remove particulate and soluble contaminants from a broad range of fluids and gases. Job Requirements:

  • Set up and monitor experiments
  • Record data generated from experiments and analyze findings
  • Operate general analytical instrumentation to support experiments
  • Report and review results with appropriate team members
  • Make a formal presentation to site leadership discussing their projects, approach, key findings, value, and the results their project provides to the organization
  • Other duties may be assigned as required

 

Technical Skill and Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability in general laboratory techniques
  • Experience with instrumental analysis
  • Ability to perform chemical and mathematical calculations
  • Ability to follow general laboratory safety procedures
  • Knowledgeable with computer software such as MS Excel and Word
  • Must be able to lift 20+ lbs. on occasion to perform some experiments
     

Education Requirement:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited BS Chemistry program (or similar) with two or more years completed
  • Instrumental analysis and/or analytical chemistry coursework completed
