Child/Adolescent Therapist

River Psychology Group, PLLC is a growing group practice founded by Dr. Shira Danzig and Dr. Dahlia Kaufman with locations in Park Slope, Brooklyn and Scarsdale, NY. The group serves children, adolescents and adults with a range of concerns and with a focus on perinatal mental health in the adult population. We are seeking to hire a child and adolescent therapist (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMSW) with expertise in working with kids of all ages to join our warm and collaborative team. We are seeking a therapist who works from an integrative framework with experience in play therapy, CBT, and parenting work. This is an in-person, fee-for-service, W2 position.

Position Responsibilities and Requirements

  • This is a fee-for-service position (12+ clients per week) in our Scarsdale location
  • The therapist will be responsible for providing individual therapy for children and adolescents, ages 3-18, with the option of conducting groups
  • The position will require primarily in-person work at our offices in Scarsdale, with the possibility of some remote work depending on client need
  • Availability to see a minimum of 12+ clients
  • Availability during after-school/evening hours - at least one evening (until 8:30pm) per week required
  • The therapist will be responsible for maintaining documentation in the EHR, communicating with parents about scheduling and other concerns as needed, and collaborating with other providers, as needed.
  • Participate in weekly individual supervision and monthly group supervision/case conference • Therapist must obtain professional malpractice insurance

 

Qualifications

  • A license or permit in New York State to practice in your field of mental health
  • The ideal candidate will have be familiar with play therapy, CBT, DBT, ERP, PMT, SPACE and PCIT
  • The candidate should possess excellent clinical skills, be organized and self-motivated
  • This position would be an excellent fit for a clinician with experience with children of all ages
  • Interest in learning the ins and outs of private practice in a supportive, collaborative, and respectful group setting

 

Compensation/Benefits

  • Fee-for-service compensation is competitive ($55-$100/clinical hour; $25- 40/administrative hour) Flexible schedule
  • This is a W2 position with worker’s compensation, disability, and family leave
  • Individual supervision and group supervision/case conference provided
  • Assistance in developing professional identity and marketing
