Career Services & Student Employment Part-time Graduate Psychology Student Assistant Position
Description The graduate student employee will be extensively trained on all duties and responsibilities listed below. This role may be slightly modified, as needed, to meet the needs of Career Services & Student Employment and students. This position is expected to be in-person approximately 20 hours per week during business hours, M-F from 8am-5pm. Pay is $17/hour.
General Responsibilities
Staff BCAS Career Services office
Provide career advising to BCAS undergraduate and graduate students with a focus on psychology students
Demonstrate willingness to work with students on career related topics (resumes, cover letters, mock interviews, career exploration)
Provide support for programming and events such as Career Fairs and Etiquette Lunch
Complete research projects
Promote services at informational tables
Participate in regular weekly meetings
Assist with additional Career Services responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Must be a current graduate level Psychology student
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 for graduate students
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong initiative to seek out projects and follow through on projects
Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills
Positive and professional attitude
Computer literacy: Microsoft Office
