Take Command of Fleet Operations

As a Fleet Superintendent, you’ll be at the helm of operational excellence, leading the charge in maintaining our vessels' performance and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This is your chance to make waves in the maritime industry and elevate your career.

Your Role as Fleet Superintendent

  • Oversee Vessel Maintenance: Collaborate with Vessel Management Teams and Port Engineers to ensure hulls and onboard machinery meet top-notch standards.
  • Ensure Compliance Across the Fleet: Manage adherence to flag, international, and classification rules, codes, and industry standards.
  • Lead Investigations and Improvements: Analyze incidents, ensure appropriate escalation, and recommend proactive solutions for safety and efficiency.
  • Guide Vessel Operations: Provide clear instructions to Ship Masters on navigation, cargo operations, and machinery protocols.
  • Optimize Performance: Review operational reports and spearhead enhancements to maximize fleet efficiency and reliability.

What We’re Looking For

  • Maritime Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Operations or equivalent experience required.
  • Certified Leadership: U.S. Merchant Marine Officer – Master Unlimited Tonnage with Vessel Security Officer (VSO) endorsement and TWIC required.
  • License/Certification: U.S. citizenship is required for MARAD vessel access.
  • Proven Experience: 5+ years as a Ship Master or in a shore-side management role with a track record of supervisory success.
  • Skills That Set You Apart: Knowledge of ship operations, maritime regulations, and stevedore processes, along with exceptional problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Starting pay will be determined by job-related factors including experience, education, and business needs and may be modified at any time.
Zone 1: $130,000 - $165,000

This job is also eligible for participation in an Incentive Plan with a target payout based on eligible compensation and corporate/individual performance goal attainment.
Annual Incentive Opportunity: 10% of eligible compensation
