Minimum Qualifications
• Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be currently attending a New York State college, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State
• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students) OR currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.
Duties Description
Under the direction of the IES Governance and Procurement analyst, the Student Assistant will assist the Operations team with various procurement management and finance activities including invoicing, reporting, and tracking of procurements.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with intake of timesheet reports and updating of actual spend across IES workstreams.
• Assist in reporting out on vendor performance and compliance.
• Assist with invoicing review process.
• Assist with track, monitoring and informing when contract dates are expiring timely to assist with procurement.
• Assist and support the IES Governance and Procurement Analyst in managing IES Contracts such as Systems Integrators (SI), Project Based; Information Technology (PBITS), and other procurement vehicles.
• Assist with the development of procurements and contracts.
• Assist with SharePoint organizing
• Track action items and meeting minutes for the IES Operations unit
Minimum Qualifications:
• Current Graduate student maintaining a 3.0 GPA or better.
Preferred Skills
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
• NYS/NYC Government knowledge preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Health and Human Services experience
• Career track in Government, contracts and procurement, Finance, Auditing, Public Administration, or related field preferred
