SIP 2025 - Caregiver (Off Campus) at Visiting Angels Senior Homecare

We are an in-home service provider/agency providing non-medical homecare services to older adults in their homes.  Services include, personal hygiene assistance, meal prep, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, errands/shopping, and joyful companionship.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors. 

Homecare agency seeking reliable & dependable workers to assist seniors and older adults in their homes on all shifts: days, nights, evenings and weekends.  4 hour shifts up to 12-hour shifts are available.  Some experience preferred but not required. PREFERENCE GIVEN TO NURSING STUDENTS EVEN WITH LIMITED EXPERIENCE. Employee will work with seniors with chronic medical conditions, i.e., dementia related diseases, Parkinson's, hospice, etc. Duties include: hygiene assistance, meal preparation, toileting/incontinence care, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry and companionship. Must be knowledgeable about and able to use bed pans, transfers sliding boards, catheter bags, and hospital beds. Good penmanship is essential for documentation purposes. Must be comfortable with pets. Must have reliable transportation, GPS and cell phone with voicemail. Must know how to navigate driving within eastern Cuyahoga county. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Nursing students are most welcomed.  
  • Those with at least 1-2 years of school are preferred

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program. 

Note: International students are eligible for employment with on-campus/ internal Tri-C departments only.
