
Marketing Communications Student Assistant
Job Summary:
The Office of Information Security (OIS) is seeking a creative and motivated part-time student to support cybersecurity awareness initiatives. This role involves developing and executing marketing and communication strategies that promote cybersecurity best practices to the university community. The ideal candidate will have an interest in cybersecurity, marketing, and communications, with a passion for engaging and educating diverse audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating marketingcampaigns for cybersecurity awareness, including socialmedia content, newsletters, posters, and email communications.
- Design engagingdigital and print materials to promote cybersecurity events, workshops, and training programs.
- Collaborate with the OIS team to develop contentfor the university’s cybersecurity website and awareness campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze engagement metrics for awareness initiatives and suggestimprovements.
- Help coordinate and promote eventssuch as Cybersecurity Awareness Month,webinars, and student-focused activities.
- Conduct researchon current trends in cybersecurity awareness and recommendinnovative strategies for outreach.
- Support the production of educational videos and multimedia materials.
- Provide administrative support as needed,such as event planning and managing outreach schedules.
- Strong writtenand verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms, contentcreation, and marketing strategies.
- Ability to manage multipletasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- An interestin cybersecurity topicsand a desire to educateothers about onlinesafety is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled asa student at UC, pursuing a degree inMarketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency ingraphic design tools suchas Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software is preferred.
- Any experience with marketing or communications to acybersecurity or ITaudience is desired but not required.
